Give the community responsive tips and techniques you use when doing web design. It can be small tips or larger full techniques you use. Do you have any past browser support techniques? Personally I use htmlshiv in all my templates to keep html 5 relevant with older IE browsers. Without it html 5 won't work but with it the site still stays in tact.

Or do you have layout techniques. Help us learn from you.

I use % and media queries.
Percentages. I use clear a lot on external tags like section, header, and footer. I use the box model idea like I showed you on discord. I use auto when the parent tag already has a set width or height. For height it only works correctly if the parent tag's height is a pixel. You can use auto for a parent tag that has a width percentage or pixel but for height the parent tag must have a pixel in order for auto to work without mixed results.

I use media queries. I like using CSS positioning. Along with htmlshiv I put my external js file links before the closing body tag to speed up page load time.

I do a lot more. Those are just some of the tips I decided to share.
